This online memorial was created in loving memory of Mike Hallbom, whose life story is told throughout this memorial website. Please sign Mike's guest book and let us know you came to visit. Also, please add any comments or share any memories that you have of him. We will remember Mike forever.

Michael Hallbom, a beloved soul, passed away peacefully in his sleep on August 9, 2006. He was only 27 years old.

Michael was a gentle, sweet spirit and was loved by many people. He was also a wonderful son and a great friend. We were all really proud of all the accomplishments that he made in his short time on the earth. Michael served as the Institute Manager at the NLP & Coaching Institute for the last five years. During that time, he was a major contributor to its ongoing success.

Michael touched the lives of hundreds of people with his kind heart and warm spirited conversations. As many of you know, Michael had a true gift for rapport building, and genuinely cared about people. He was a lot of fun to talk with, as he always had something interesting to say.

Mike grew up in Salt Lake City, Utah and graduated from Judge Memorial High School in 1997. He moved to Sacramento, California in 2001, and began working at the NLP & Coaching Institute at that time. He later moved to Indianapolis, Indiana in 2004 with his job, and really loved it there. He had just bought a condominium that he was very proud of, and was looking forward to a bright future in his new home.

Michael was incredibly passionate about NLP (Neuro-Linguistic Programming), and had many great accomplishments in the field. By the time he was 25 years old, he had successfully completed the NLP Practitioner Training, Master Practitioner Training, Health Certification Training, Coach Certification Training and WealthyMind Trainer's Training.

It was Michael's dream to become a NLP Trainer one day. He had already begun to hone his skills through his life coaching practice that he had maintained on the side for the last two years. Through his private practice and work at the NLP & Coaching Institute, he had already begun fulfilling his mission of making a positive difference in the world.

Michael loved sports, as well, especially football and golf. He competed in the Fantasy Football tournaments every year on the internet, and always ranked in the top percentages at the end of each season. He was also truly gifted with computer technology, and could fix any computer problems that arose.

Michael always maintained a cheerful attitude, and was a lot of fun to work with. He always went the extra mile to help people. All who worked with him appreciated his "can do" attitude.

Mike will be greatly missed by all of his family, his life long friends, the greater NLP Community, and his two cats, Marshall and Sparklette.

May his star continue to shine big and bright throughout all eternity.

Eric Clapton's Lyrics:

Would you know my name - If I saw you in heaven - Will it be the same - If I saw you in heaven - I must be strong, and carry on - Cause I know I don't belong - Here in heaven -

Would you hold my hand - If I saw you in heaven - Would you help me stand - If I saw you in heaven - I'll find my way, through night and day - Cause I know I just can't stay - Here in heaven -

Time can bring you down - Time can bend your knee - Time can break your heart - Have you begging please - Begging please -

(instrumental)

Beyond the door - There's peace I'm sure. And I know there'll be no more... Tears in heaven

Would you know my name If I saw you in heaven Will it be the same If I saw you in heaven I must be strong, and carry on Cause I know I don't belong Here in heaven

Cause I know I don't belong Here in heaven
