Norma Koehring Pizzitola, 83, joined her husband Charles in Heaven on Tuesday, May 13, 2014. Born Norma Ruth Koehring on October 9, 1930 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin to Calvin and Margaret Koehring, she moved to the River Oaks area of Houston in 1941. Norma graduated from Lamar High School. On October 29, 1949 she married the love of her life, Charles Pizzitola, at St. Anne's Catholic Church and went on to raise six children. The family resided predominately in Spring Branch. Later she and Charles moved to Sea Isle in Galveston. She is preceded in death by Charles who passed on February 9, 2009. Norma is survived by her children, Barbara Wyka and husband Tom, Chuck Pizzitola, Thom Pizzitola and wife Janice, John Pizzitola and wife Rhonda, Jeanine Aigner and husband Steve, and Annette O'Neal and husband Danny. She is also survived by numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren, sister Margaret "Ann", brothers Tom and Jim, and many nieces and nephews. Norma will be remembered for her love for life, family, good food, good friends and dancing the night away with Charles. She loved to travel and had many adventures traveling across the U.S. to visit her siblings. She and Charles also traveled to Italy and France and went on many cruises and trips to Las Vegas over the years. A Celebration of Life - Remembering Norma will be held on June 5, 2014 from 2:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m., at Pavillion on Gessner, 2500 Gessner Road, Houston, TX 77080.
She gave us life. She gave us love.
Now, she smiles down from Heaven above.
Though our hearts may break and tears will fall,
our memories of you, Mom, we hold dearest of all.
